Enrollment for the 2017 Dog Days of Summer program opening soon.
Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation’s summer program is designed for the dog lover! Children learn about German Shepherd Guide Dogs - their training; the amazing partnership with men and women who are blind; and the everyday challenges that face people with visual disabilities. In addition, children learn about other breeds and their origins, canine development, puppy raising, basic dog training, health care, grooming and first aid. Children work in our kennel, assisting with feeding and cleaning, to help them understand the responsibility of dog ownership. Many special working canine visitors, such as police K9, search and rescue tracking, and competition dogs visit during the week to showcase their special skills.
