The (New) 2008 Walk for Fidelco, Saturday, May 17th

We’re calling our 2008 Walk for Fidelco “new” because it’s going to take place in a new location, Manchester Community College (MCC), at a new time, 8:30-10:30 a.m., and it will feature a new treat; complimentary snacks and beverages to all walkers and their dogs.

MCC is graciously letting us use their paved hiking trails that wind through the peaceful wooded areas surrounding the campus. That means no muddy shoes and no muddy paws! There’s also ample free parking, music, Walk and team prizes and Walk T-shirts for everyone who raises $75 or more. There will also be balloons and (temporary) tattoos for the children.

Charity Ride
6th Annual Torrington Firefighters Local 1567 Charity Motorcycle Ride

Held in memory of longtime Fidelco foster Nelson Hilpert to benefit the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation

Date: June 22, 2008

Place: Torrington Fire Department Headquarters - 117 Water Street, Torrington, CT

Time: Registration begins at 8:30 am. Ride starts at 10:00 am.

Registration fee: $25 per bike - $30 with passenger

Ride route: start at the Torrington Fire Department, ride through the Litchfield Hills, finish at the Landing Zone Grill, Burlington CT

Lunch: barbecue at the Landing Zone Grill, included with registration fee (drinks sold separately in the restaurant)
 
 

Tee off for Fidelco

Allied Printing Services Charitable Foundation is hosting the First Annual Gerald F. Sommers Memorial Golf Tournament.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and Cushing Academy – three organizations that were important to Gerry Sommers, who was executive vice-president and director of marketing for Allied Printing Services, Inc. of Manchester.

The tournament is Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Topstone Golf Course in South Windsor, CT.  Registration is at 9 a.m. and tee off is at 10 a.m.  For information contact sgreer@fidelco.org or Lori Temple at 860-643-1101 x303.

 

Host an Event

With some creative thinking and a few friends, you can host an event for Fidelco. Some examples of successful events include car washes, road races, wine tastings, car shows and bike-a-thons.
